Wesley Wright currently serves as Lakeland's Vice-Mayor as well as on the Board of Appeals/Stormwater Board of Appeals as well as a liaison to the Board of Education.
He has previously served on the Lakeland Parks and Recreation Board and the Municipal Planning/Design Review Commission.
In both 2014 and 2021, Wesley received the Lakeland Person of the Year award from the Lakeland Chamber of Commerce.
Wesley’s background in history, education, management and small business gives him knowledge and organizational skills that are advantageous for city leadership.
He and his wife have a daughter and son.
