Engineering Department

The Engineering Department is responsible for all public infrastructure (roads, drainage, sanitary sewer, etc.) including new development and maintenance of existing facilities.

The Department includes Construction Inspection, Public Works, and Wastewater Departments.

engineering.jpgIn addition to managing these departments, the department reviews development plans, oversees capital improvement projects, and ensures compliance with the TN Department of Environment and Conservation Wastewater and Stormwater Permits.

Sanitary Sewer Projects including the Clear Creek Interceptor, here.

...The Clear Creek Sanitary Sewer Interceptor project will provide relief to the existing Clear Creek Interceptor which is nearing capacity as well as provide service to residences on the north end of Chambers Chapel Road.  At ultimate build-out, the new interceptor will provide a connection for properties in east Lakeland to Highway 64. The project is currently in the design phase with construction to begin in 2020.
