Code Enforcement Hotline
Have you seen a possible City Code violation and want to do something about it?
Please call the Code Enforcement Hotline at 901-867-5404 to report it.
After-hours, messages can be left 24/7 for Code Enforcement who will document all violations and schedule inspections.
The City will also contact the Shelby County Sheriff’s Department for violations in public rights-of-way, such as illegal on-street parking.
A Code Enforcement officer will investigate all complaints and work with property owners to achieve compliance with City ordinances. The complainant will receive status updates.
The City’s Code Enforcement Department handles such violations as tall grass in residential areas, overgrown lots, storage of materials in front yards, dilapidated structures, temporary signs, graffiti, off-street truck/trailer parking, trash, and accumulation of junk.
Lakeland appreciates resident involvement in keeping our community beautiful!
