Summer Tennis Camps (Youth)
If your youngster(s) missed out on Lakeland Parks & Recreation’s Spring Tennis Clinics, there will be a Quick Start Tennis Camp & Tennis Camp is for beginners-intermediates hosted at Windward Slopes Park, June 22-25.

Both camps will be instructed by David DeGutis, a USPTA tennis instructor and coach.
The Quick Start camp is designed for youth ages 5-10 years old and will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. The camp uses a larger ball, lower nets, and a shorter court. Full court is available for oldest campers, if needed. Bring your own racket. Camp fee is $80.

Tennis Camp for beginners-intermediates will be open to youth, ages 11-18 or younger experienced students and will be held from 10:30 a.m. to noon. Camp includes full-court instruction, fundamental drills, and competitive games. Camp fee is $80.

Spring Tennis Clinics are run by David DeGutis, a USPTA tennis instructor and coach with over 15 years of teaching experience. David DeGutis can be reached at at 901-412-9768 or .

Fee was $85 and included a jersey and participation trophy. Parents provided black shorts.

YMCA Youth Coed T-Ball and Coach Pitch

Lakeland City Hall Park, 9959 Highway 70 (Next to City Hall)

T-ball and coach pitch is an introduction for children to develop baseball skills and have fun.

The 2014 season ran June through July. The YMCA fee for the activity is $90. Each player received a hat and t-shirt, and a trophy at the end of the season. Parents provided a bat, glove and helmet.
