General Information

The City of Lakeland has undertaken several construction and maintenance projects that span the coming year. These projects involve or are administered by city and state. Lakeland, Shelby County, and the Memphis Area Urban Metropolitan Planning Organization. as well as state and federal governments, are involved in major projects such as the Interstate 40 Interchange. The New Canada Road Realignment is administered the City of Lakeland. The process of completing each project can be complicated and time-consuming due to the many levels of approvals required for each milestone.
