Future Park Improvements

  • Oak Ridge Park's future improvements include playground equipment and trails (not yet scheduled). This park also marks the beginning of what will become the City’s greenways system.

  • El Hill Park will consist of five acres at the east end of El Hill in Stonebridge (not yet scheduled).

  • Lakeland Soccer Field renovation is almost completed, with the final sod being installed in time for a good grass field by soccer season. Renovations included leveling of the fields and installation of sod. Also, the Board of Commissioners recently approved plans for new baseball fields, in addition to soccer fields. Hopefully, construction can begin by Spring 2007.

  • Lakeland residents are invited to commemorate individuals, families or organizations with the Memorial Tree Program, a living tribute through the dedication of trees in Lakeland's city parks: MTP flyer (PDF).
